Wanting some help on how to do it! Carry handle has been milled off so I'm looking at a few ways to attach a picatinny rail to it.
Any help would be appreciated!

Mill a corresponding step profile along the bottom of the rail to match what's already there on the upper.
If it were me, I'd buy a length of rail off trademe, or use a bit of hand guard rail (you know that tactical shit that people love to hand forward grips, torches, lasers and rocket launchers off). Those rails are normally thicker, longer and dirt cheap to buy.

If not thick enough, make some packers out of aluminum to sit it level.
Use existing taped holes...job done
Looking at it from the top view, you'd definitely want a longer rail than the one you have. It needs the flat spots at both front and rear to hold it from getting torqued left/right.
Sounds like a lot of work.

Forgive me if im wrong as i know little to nothing about evil black rifles but are those colt A2 uppers not sought after? I would have thought it would be easier/cheaper to just get a different upper than butcher that one?
Yea that's the plan Mauser don't want to do it myself as I've never done aluminium welding lol, going to have to find someone who can do it for me!
Bought it like this Dogmatix thought it would be a fun and interesting project!
Your right Ryan I bought it butchered
