    Grandfather's .22

Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice from the brain's trust. I have my Grandfather's Winchester .22. This is the gun I learned to shoot with and spent countless hours chasing rabbit etc as a young fulla. Pulled it out today for a bit of tlc and decided I'm sick of the electrical tape holding the mag tube in place (has been there as long as I can remember). So my question is,how best to fix it.Can it be welded/soldered?. Would something like JB Weld work?.
Also would it be worth re bluing or should I leave it as is.
    Thanks for any input..
