I think the people that use the c word to describe people with (engineering) degrees as "c's" must have had a severe deficit in their upbringing and education.

I think that you should take a deep breath and get over yourself. I was pointing out that 3 years of C marks will get you a degree. As an engineer who also has an MBA, employing a BE (hons) qualified design engineer, I am not going to suggest that the honorific you appear to be suggesting is applicable to all engineers - at least, not in a disproportionate degree (see what i did there?) to their numbers in society.

If you've got any other concerns, try pm. It might prevent an unnecessary public display.

I have a question , it might show how much of a rookie I am when it comes to guns but Ill ask anyway.
Will the rife you are reducing the weight in , have a heavier recoil than before ?
    Thanks

yes. The heavier the rifle the less recoil generally (everything else being equal)

Since the weight-savings are comparatively small, with these modifications there might not be a felt change in recoil.

Yes. Any mods must also be balanced against "how often will I fire this compared to how long I will be carrying it" and also "when I fire this will I develop a flinch?" and "how much fun am I gonna have building this thing"
