Beautiful work.

75/15/10 black powder matters
That has come up pretty sharp. Looks just like an original London gunmakers case. Top notch all around, rifle and case!
Well on Sunday @Micky Duck and I put some rounds through the Webley at 100m from the bench.
Results were very poor.
I really struggled with the sights at that distance.
The front brass blade has tiny silver bead on its rear face, but it is very fine. Way too fine for my eyes.
They were going in a little low with the main sight blade and a 100 grain 1 1/2 FG charge.
Three shots and my shoulder was asleep for most of the rest of the day.
Today I have just put 2 shots of my Nitro For Black load from my other 500 3" through the Webley
But only at 60m this time ( on an old shed I am dismantling with gunfire ) and still hard to find that front sight, but a better group and perfect for elevation.
Only two shots and shoulder is asleep this time and the Nitro for Black recoil was pretty perky also.
So the Nitro for Black load I use in my 1885 50 Eley is a bit much too handle in the slightly lighter and differently stocked Webley.
I might have to revisit the original 80 grain load that shot so well and also enlarge the size of the front sight bead.
And I do at least know that it will shoot everything to sights at around 50m but all bets are off at longer ranges.
Thankfully it is a fair size lump of lead and judging from the state of my shoulder it will inflict a lot of pain on an animal if I can hit it

I have increased the front sight blade / bead diameter
Drifted the blade off and soldered a nice little blob of silver solder the is 1mm larger diameter but effectively 3x the surface area

Just have the lock out and a key to sort and the Webley case will be done.
New strap guides, strap loops and mounts for the handle salvaged from another case
