    Rangi 303 scope mount.

I thought I would share my 303 mount job as Hori as they come but hey it's a solid platform. So anyway it's made from 3mm stainless and tigged. It was designed so that the iron sights still work if the scope is removed (picture attempt included). I'm planning on trimming the excess some time soon. I'll update you all on whether or not it holds a zero. (NB: the photo's make it look skewed but it's not.)

To my uneducated eye she looks to have about 40moa down angle Eion. I guess you will find that out if you are right off the paper with your first shots

How is attached to the action? you didnt weld it on did you?

If you weld a stiffener underneath from the action mount forward to under the rings and weld a recoil stop in front of one of the rings you might get away with it.... maybe

If that one doesn't work, here is another cheap option that I've always thought about trying.

Yeah I just welded the front on, I couldn't see it doing any harm. There's no locking lugs there, it gets heated to hotter when re-barreling, and it's independent of the chamber. I'll chuck that stopper on though and move the rear ring so its hard pressed against the stop behind it also. I'd tapered the edges of it so that when its clamped on tight it bites into the steel but a bit more strength couldn't hurt. I'd looked at the side mounted ones but I have a rounded receiver and don't have the skill to work with that.
