    Shakey case cleaner.

I have had a 1/4 hp electric motor for quite a few years and it`s been glaring at me to do some thing with it, so as shooting black powder makes the 45-70 cases cruddy I thought a electric vibrating case cleaner would be the go. I nocked up a box for the motor to sit in and a top bit to hold it together. I lathed out a off centre bit to fit on the motor shaft and using some pressed in bearings I had the vibrating bit all sorted, or so I thought. The bits so far.

Cool project, the only thing that would worry me is case mouth damage due to the oscillation being excessively violent.

Yes, Marty my designing leaves a lot more learning, luckily I did a test run with the car out of the garage , the dam thing chased me around till it pulled the cord out. So a re think on the oscillation , down from 20mm to 10mm using an extension arm closer to it`s bearing. The top bit sat on four springs bolted to the lid so it could move and three wooden blocks to holed the plastic case container for cases and rumbling media . A lid clamp to holed it on and I had the mark 1 shaky case cleaner .

My medium for cleaning the cases is palm tree seeds, I've got lots of them, the birds love them and poo out the seeds, a big problem for doc soon. They are nice and hard , round and just the bees knees for wobble clean.

Look lads, would be the bees knees for your goose loads, load up with the red ones, more flavour, hit them up the parsons nose and you have got inflight seasoned stuffing on the wing, could chuck in some pepper corns, rock salt as well, oven ready before they hit the ground.
I`m just experimenting with that to add to them, bit of simple green?, it cleans the cases alright, not bright and inside as well, just have to shake them out before drying.
