    Thompson Encore 300 Blackout

    Finally finished putting this together.
    Single shot Thompson.
I have 3 barrels for it and this is the Blackout.
Was drilled for a pistol forend which was necessary for the short barrel with an over barrel Kaimai Suppressor.
Really looking forward to testing it with subsonics.
    Also have a 6.5 Grendel and a 224 Valkyrie.
The scope is a vintage 1975 Kahles 2.5 fixed power I’ve had since new.
Had to get the alloy Vortex rings reamed out to fit the European 26mm tube.
Barrel is from Match Grade Machining in Utah. Custom ‘barb wire’ fluting with a grey dip in the fluting.
Nice and light for this old fella to carry.

Not sure. Came from Haus of Arms in the US. They are a single shot/Thompson specialist who supplied the action and Prohunter stock set while I was over there.

Nice! I've got a similar 300blk set-up on a Contender. I use 165 cast powder coated boolits with 10.8 grains of Reloder-7 behind them. They shoot pretty good but I've yet to kill anything with them.

    Enjoy!

Did you organise the MGM barrel from here? I was getting one for my Contender from them just as Covid locked us down. The local agent folded nothing arrived and my deposit lost. Might try again if the process is reliable.

I bought everything while I was living in the USA.
Be difficult to do it from here as most US suppliers do not export.
To get the forend I had to get it sent to a US relative to then post on to me.
MGM were OK to deal with in the US but I never assembled anything over there.
My mistake as they mucked up the order and drilled all barrels for a pistol forend!
They were happy to replace but not possible with me now in NZ.
So many $ later I had a good NZ Gunsmith machine custom hanger bars so I could attach the rifle forend.
Haus of Arms is also supplying SSK barrels which look good.
If you can find a trustworthy NZ agent then that would be the easiest route.
    Good luck.

Yeah, really interesting to see that in action at the range today - a lot quieter than expected (in a sea of rifles fitted with loudeners anyway). Impressed.
