    that wood is stunning,almost framable the way its displayed..... your knives will be well worth seeing when its used.

    My wood guy is in Texas and he sources wood from many places internationally. I have been buying from him for a number of years and he has some stunning blocks in house.

    A few more knives away today. A K-tip Chef set with "spilled milk" acrylic on the cryo quenched NitroV SS. Plus a Field boning knife with acacia on the 1084 blade.
    A Tahr hunter with English oak over CB buffalo horn on the 1075 blade with spine jimping in the closed top sheath.
    A and a pair away to one of the shops who carry my knives. A Chamois hunter with Tasmainian blackwood over CB buffalo horn on the 1084 blade in the closed top sheath and a 4x4 hunter with Pheasant wood over FB buffalo horn on the 1084 blade in the deep pouch sheath.

    An 8 inch fileter with linen micarta over G10 liners on the NitroV SS blade and a skiner also with linen micarta on the 1084 blade.

    There are 3 Mini Skiners and 4 Chamois Hunters in this lot ready to head off to Oregon, with the majority having acacia handles on the 1084 blades with two having spalted Hackberry handles.

    I like your style, what is the black wood in your Chamois Hunters?
    Or you can stay within 300 yards and keep life a lot simpler.

    That is buffalo horn for the bolsters . I have some jet black hornbeam for handles though.

    These two ready to head off on mondays courier. A Fisherman with blue/gold Karelian Birch on the NitroV stainless blade and a Hunter Skinner with Jarah on the 1084 blade.

    These two finished and away to new homes. The Dogman Bowie with multi pin walnut scales over long guard brass bolster on the stone washed 4.5mm 1084 blade in simple sheath. The knife has a multi snake knot lanyard with bright alloy rings and a chocolate brown bead and paracord.
    The Professional Hunter with Maple burl over flat back brass bolster on the 4.3mm 1075 blade in plain pouch sheath.

    Just home from delivering (on consignment) to new outlet in Murchison. Excellent ride with the bike performing extremely well over the 1500km done in two days .
    A pair of general purpose kitchen knives (one with tortoise shell and the other with pebble garden [ acrylics] ) 1095 carbon steel
    A Kitchen butcher and a boning knife both with acacia on the stone washed 1084 carbon steel.
    A His 'N' Hers steak knife set with Maple burl on the NitroV SS blades.
    A pair of 951 Belt knives with one having scalloped OD micarta over blaze liners and the other having fiddle back maple over micarta bolster on 1084 carbon steel blades (thumb and finger jimping)
    A pig sticker with black micarta over blue liners and brass bolster on the 1075 carbon steel blade.
    A pair of Wapiti knives with one having English oak and the other having cypres over micarta bolster on the 1075 carbon steel blades.
    A general purpose (field) knife with acacia on the carbon steel blade.
    A Professional Hunter with OD canvas micarta over natural canvas bolster on the 1075 blade and another Professional Hunter with sunburst Karelian birch on the 1075 carbon steel blade and a Tahr Hunter with spalted Karelian birch on the 1075 carbon steel with all 3 having closed top sheaths.

    This one donated to the annual auction at the Kansas City chapter of Safari Club International .
    A Professional Hunter with Arizona Desert Ironwood over a curve backed Buffalo Horn bolster on the 3/16 1075 blade in a closed top sheath.
