A project I have been working on is a new design chef set and with the 8 inch chef, 6 inch petty and 4 inch paring knife am ready to make a couple of sets. I bought in some bars of NordicEdge ladder pattern stainless damascus and will pair it with brass and very nice fine grained broken fiddle back Tasmanian blackwood from Jason Williams stabilised woods. The NitroV stainless set will have some gold fiddle back maple (have it stabilising) over some dark fiddleback Tasmanian blackwood bolsters.

This lot away to Texas this morning. First is a #2 Bushcraft with walnut over curve backed buffalo horn on a 3/16 saber ground 1075 blade with heavy jimping and a leather lanyard in a edge stamped closed top sheath.
Next is a pretty little letter opener with a walnut handle on a 1084 blade in a walnut table stand. The handle and uprights of the table stand are from the same piece of walnut to make a continuous visual line.
A pair of Chamois hunters with Tasmanian blackwood over brass curve backed bolsters in edge stamped pouch sheaths. The blades are engraved on both sides.
the last lot are farm tools called hook knives for hay bailing time when there is bunch up of wither the bailing twine or the hay itself. Made from coil springs that were straightened for the purpose.

Speaking of baling twine.one idea I saw many years ago and haven't since was a ring worn on Saturday night finger with a claw type blade on it sticking out. You could cut bale twine easily with it but carry on doing whatever else without having to remove it and put it in safe place, only to need it again two minutes later. Blade was at right angles to body of ring sort of like end of docking knife poking up between your knuckles.
    75/15/10 black powder matters

Was origonally based on a boot knife I made but ground the tip wrong so reconfigured it to this shape and use it myself for a letter opener. Have made another one with resin ivory over buffalo horn in a resin ivory and black ivory table stand. The ivory one was for the husband, a gift from his wife, and now this one is for the wife as a gift from the husband.

A pair of Wapiti Hunters with walnut over CB buffalo horn bolsters on the 1075 blade, with one having spine jimping and both having chocolate snake knot and bead lanyards in closed top sheaths.
A pair of Old Western hunters also with walnut over CB buffalo horn bolster on 1075 blades in pouch sheaths.
