    Yesterday's black smithing magic!

    Hi,
I spent a day on the anvil with my girlfriend's farrier yesterday.
    Here's the result:

In the next few weeks I will do the heat treatment, handle installation and finishing. I will have to make a leather pouch for it as well.

Not sure yet. You can still pm me if you want. I would like to make sure I can produce something descent at an honest price first.

Well done that looks very cool.

Those few flaws near the tip are most probably from working it to cold a few times.

We really struggled at first to do our welds. On this one the weld did not quite close properly at the end so I had to chop 10 mm off. Hence why the Damascus lines are not following the profile to the tip.
    I used 1095 and 15N20.

I used to forge knives about 15 years ago as a hobby back in Europe. I am happy to get back into it.

Friwi where are you based out off? I'm in the process of trying to learn to forge and would love a lesson or to watch
