Dont get the 6210 unless they have finished the new case design. They can have moisture problems.

I disagree, the MMs is a great feature when the camera is water tight but only if there is a good cell signal. Iv managed to waterproof mine and its going fine.Ill definatly buy another but not till they release the new case and its been tested.

Yeah the key point is obviously the reception, where i have wanted to use them i have not been able to get reception on vodafone only telecom but i cant get the camera to work on telecom.

Would putting something like this into a sealable plastic case do the trick? Even like a tupperware type container?

Yeah i guess that would be an option dougie, you would need to test it first to see if you get reflection from the plastic onto the lens or if the infrared flash works through plastic etc etc

Yes it might work but it shouldnt be nessersary. Its an outdoors camera and should be waterproof from the factory. The manufactures are aware of the problem and should have the new model available soon. I havnt tried to use telecom but its not listed as an option when using the auto mms setup.

It would be nice if trail cams were IP65 rated but the reality is, there's likely to be some condensation if they're out in the weather for extended periods. It certainly can't hurt to have a little 'roof' over them if you're going to leave them out for a while.
