If you google "exif data" it will have a few web pages that will tell you how.

I had assumed that data was removed by the forum when a photo was uploaded???
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

It's not as I found out in the beginning only farcebook does that, about the only good thing they do.

A cheat way is to disable location recording on your phone when the camera is in use - although it does pay to check with each photo as updates etc can reset your settings.

I got caught a couple of years ago with a photo I posted on the forum. Pocking around, I found the meta data, clicked on it, google maps opened up to my address, another click or so and there was a view of my house. Holy shit.

Back then I had to install an app to edit out any meta data if I had inadvertantly any location data in my photos. (There are times when you want that data.)
On my last few Samsung phones I just open the picture, swipe up, and all the data is there on the rhs including camera type and settings. The location data can be easily deleted there.

I just screenshot photos before uploading them. Does this remove all location data?

Taking a screenshot removed location data on a secret location photo for me.

    But I'm no techno.

My Oppo phone doesn't do that but I usually upload from my laptop so remove the data under Windows instead.

    Don't focus on immutable characteristics.

A bit of inclusivity for our multicoloured participants, if you please.....
