Changed mine online four weeks ago, not really expecting a check any time soon. Back in Wellies I moved twice with no inspection.

I know what you mean Dougie, changed house a while back, well 15 years ago, and the Police didnt turn up until I had to renew my licence and even then the bloke forgot to check my safe out until I reminded him. The fact that I used to have a beer with 40 years back may have been the problem. Too bust catching up on the gossip

It's an under resourced group. No over time allowed, and considering how much work goes into a single FAL application, moving, endorsements and action on current FAL owners takes up a lot of their limited time.

Nice one KK, yeah i had the same moving over to Hamilton. I had to chase the AO's and put in a good few calls.
I hadn't heard for a while after putting in my change of address then out the blue, literally months later, i get this call about my gun safe and someone wants to come round and see it. I got a little paranoid as they mentioned about the gun safe not me so checked it all out and when the AO came round first thing he showed me was his ID.
Someone calling out the blue asking when i will be round so they can check my safe and not knowing who it is raises little red flags.
Turns out he was a good bugger but you can never be too careful.
They are IMHO a fantastic resource and i just wish there were more of them. This one guys weekend looked pretty buggered trying to get round to see everyone.

Similar experience here. Have moved 3 times in the 5 years (notifying each time) since my first check and haven't had a check or phone call since the first visit

I moved 3 times in 8 years before they finally came around, only because I applied for an import permit.

Actually my current license expires on Sunday, still no sign of the new one after applying back in early December and being reinspected and interviewed.

    Anybody want free:
    Sako 75 (x2)
    Remmie 870
    Molot Vepr
    Schmeisser AR15

    Welcome to Sako club.
