GCNZ, alpha carbines being lined up again.

Once again, gun control NZ showing they have the combined intellect of a damp paving stone.

At least they have shown the true purpose they envisioned the register being used for, and once they have confiscated all of those, on to the next.

It’s almost like their cognitive bias prevents them from realising ANY firearm can be cut down….

I won’t mention the diagram they have provided, leaving nothing to the imagination on how to trim one down to size.

Can’t help but have a chuckle, off all things they could be concerned about, this is what they choose.

You're thinking is wrong. They do realize, they just don't care. Their aim is to remove all firearms from legal ownership. They don't care how illogical their argument is.

    That’s common knowledge.

What I find funny is how sub 1500 peoples voice seems to always surpass the 200,000 odd lfos

Because gun owners refuse to present a united front so the media run off to the ones making the most noise

And here's another example of how to cut down a rifle.
Oh wait, it was made like that.

I posted that upside down so Gun Control don't recognise what it is.

I get what they are saying but it's a stupid argument if you think about it for more than a couple of minutes.
Yes the alpha can easily be cut down but so can any other rifle or shot gun, it's just that the Alpha looks likes a pistol and there for is more dangerous.

The real issue is the new gun laws, for one reason or another people will be trying to find an alternative to their old AR15, whether it be a Remington 7600, Alpha carbine, or straight pull AR15.
If the idiots in charge had just done the sensible thing and kept the E category, people would have a path to owning the tools the want/need and even would've registered the bloody things!

What we really need is a Government that actually understands what guns people use and why they use them, puts in some reasonable legislation, and then ignores media pressure from stupid groups like GCNZ.
If the Government can just ignore these noisy people for the 24hr news cycle they'll crawl back into their hole.

As anyone who has read my stuff on here would know, I'm not a fan of, nor the reasoning behind a lot of this bollocks.
Going back in time though these type of firearms weren't allowed in by the rozzers for the exact thing they are mentioning here.
Pistol carbine revolvers like the pedersoli from memory?
That was back when we trusted plod a bit more and weren't vilified by them like now.
I will say I was a bit surprised when these started popping up considering their present mindset.
It's like they forgot about all this type of stuff

By this logic should we ban double barrel shotguns? Imagine something like this getting into the wrong hands.

Or maybe we just accept that criminals will do criminal things and per-capita FAL holders are disproportionally law-abiding.

A stroeger coachgun. Being cut down n sawn off....now there is the work of a moron if ever I have seen it.they already short n handy and designed for short n light type job... Morons after concealment and intimidation factor with no idea at all. I almost pity the Muppet who fired one like that, you wouldn't hear a thing for hours and the recoil would be brutal. Muppets, complete Muppets.

I am going to play devils advocate here and it really pains me to do it in this case with GCNZ ......

I was surprised when I saw these available in shops as it was always my understanding that these were never approved for import here for the very reason GCNZ claims. BUt they seem to have become available AFTER the Gun laws were hastily (and poorly ) altered and changed a few years back.

The fact that we can now own Rimfires that were classed as MSSA/E Cat on a normal license is surely another example. (Note I am not saying they should be banned- but I am pretty sure those who wrote the law did not envisage them becoming legal through their ineptitude...)
