    From memory over the past 30 years every 'hunter shoots hunter' has led the evening news...

    Has the 4th estate become so immune to shootings over the past 6 years that they don't count any more?

    Nope. Gang shootings also lead the news these days.

    Maybe it has been suggested to the media that they dont make an issue out of gun crimes. I mean, sadly its an every day event these days

    I've always wondered how you can positively and conclusively id a target with a thermal..

    tick the boxes...one at a time....moving??? tick..deer shape???....tick....hind or stag??? tick.... moving as a live deer does???? tick can I see its head movement???? tick takes but a second or two to do that.....we all do it bush stalking...night time is no different.
    this is a tragedy if true....Im hoping its not. MOST of the country learnt from the Rosemary brushing teeth tragedy...MOST.

    I get the. Hebi jebies when people say they bush hunt with a round up the spout encase they need to snap shoot anything.


    95% of the time im hunting with an empty chamber.
    If i cant cycle a round in quietly IMO i generally dont have enough time to identify the target AND decide if u have good shot placement.

    Its not the thermal scope and rifles fault.Its the drunkn idiots behind it.All should be charged with man slaughter.

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
