    Hopefully the Police will finally have to admit they messed up giving him a license, had diverted FAL funding into other areas, etc but I’m not holding my breath

    It was in the Christchurch press today.it was mentioned quite specifically on how the vetting was botched.
    It was also reported that he and other coppers had been actively trying to shut down the big mag loophole and ban MSSAs but govt didn't listen.
    I thought it was mostly firearms groups that tried to get the big mags thing sorted

    Lack of a FAL wouldn't of stopped him, just changed his plans. He had containers of petrol in the back of his car, somehow I don't think it was because he was planning on topping up the car afterwards.

    In which case we'd need a licence to purchase petrol, and only fit and proper people would be able to purchase it....

    And no large capacity containers to put it in. Could of just used some fert and diesel. Its quite effective as well
