You cant put your firearm in the safe before you put it in your safe, it doesnt make sense.

My answer for this question would be B.
"Stored away" does not say it is in a safe.

What about guns that don't have a removable bolt?
Read the question carefully: it says remove the bolt WHERE POSSIBLE.

The secret with the test is read exactly what each question says, and ALWAYS give the safest answer. The examiner has no discretion to deal with any assumptions you may offer as alternatives. There is only one correct answer for each question.

It's a question worded to give you the best chance. It's in the Arms's code that you read before you do the test.

Do you drive exatly like your instructor taught you?

No, you do that to pass the test, then you make sure your engine is off, you're in park with the handbrake applied.

A test is to test you on the knowledge standard, once you pass, it's up to you to uphold at least that.

It looks as if the question was put in before home gunsafes were compulsory but it still applies in places like a hut or camp where there is no lockup.

The question has done good duty raising awareness.
