My god. The database just full of rubbish already, the chumps. When I tried to find a match for an old single barrel 12 ga Champion, I get a choice of a single shot, or an 8 shot! Since when did Iver Johnson ever produce an 8 shot break-action single barrel shotty?

Likewise, the Walther Running Boar, is a bolt-action, I know, because I have one. But apparently, they’re a break-action…

    Rock on…
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

Honestly I think they are just winging it to be seen to be doing something. Alot of this data they are collecting will be worthless and might even work against them in a prosecution.

    Interesting

I got the email saying 'your change of address and/or recent purchase are a triggering event and register your stuff within the month'

So I email back saying that I would like this decision reviewed as I did these things before that date for that express reason
Get a phone call today and asked for confirmation email

    quoted in part-
    Regarding our recent call.

I have closed off the activating event as you advised you had submitted COA prior to the Registry going live.

I would like to rectify my previous statement: items are to be registered latest 31 August 2028, correction on my prior statement on the phone of 24 June 2025. Apologies for this mix up. https://www.firearmssafetyauthority....our-arms-items

However, this date changes if an activating event occurs, if an activating event occurs as outlined below, you are to register all Firearms in your possession within the given timeframe:

Some more copy and paste stuff but y'all get the drift

And even Running Boar I think is incorrect. Should come up with something like UIT-Moving Target or LGR-LFD-Scheibe.
(Although one of the translations for ScheiBe is "shit" but in this case it could be "disk".)

So if you enter wrong details in the register as some of you have had to, what happens when the blue team knock on your door for an inspection and firearms they have a list of that you registered aren't there and there are other ones that aren't registered are there? whos keen to be the guinea pig..

Exactly what I did, but the old fashioned way. Printed out copies of registered firearms and filed those. The way it's going you never know when the Registry could crash and burn. Best to have backup in case of dispute.

Out for dinner last night, sitting beside a FAL holder and asked what he thought of the new firearms laws.
He said what laws so I mentioned the registration.
He looked at me puzzled and said “what registration”
So there’s at least one FAL holder that was unaware of the registration etc.

Should have asked him if he'd heard about the great confiscation of three years ago.
