75/15/10 black powder matters
FWIW I had to give the FSA a smack back into their place when they said that moving home location was a triggering event - it was, but I had to remind them that it had been done before the law change so they could get back in their corner
I bought a rifle later and registered so the point doesn't matter now but @Shinobiisixthree - check you are in the clear
Yea just purchased a new rifle and suppressor over the last couple months.. but from what I'm reading on these forums I'm getting mixed signals on whether I am "required" by law to register them??? I obviously do not want to because I don't actually trust police systems and their security but that's a separate issue.
Bottom line, am I required by law to register these products mentioned? Again I have just bought them last couple months.

The first time you buy or receive an arms item (from a dealer or an individual), you must provide the following details for the Registry as soon as is practicable, but within 30 days:
the details of the arms item
the date when the arms item came into your possession, and
the name and firearms licence number of the person from whom the item was received.
You must record all other arms items in your possession and check your licence holder details are complete and up to date within 30 days.
If you receive firearms from an organisation (such as a business, club, or range), you must also provide the usual location(s) where the firearms will be stored.
Yes you will have to register them.
as youve bought them in last 2/12 its obviously triggered the FSA alerts re the (as stated frequently on here)register weapon within 30 days. Trust issues have nowt to do with it mate , like pissing on a granite wall -wont stand up as a defence or make one iota of difference .bite the bullet and register before the smelly stuff hits the revolving blade and you get made an example of.
It’s the law now so you have to, and not worth losing your licence over if you get caught out.
I’ve recently registered mine due to a change of address, was easy to do over the phone along with the change in address, and the lady I spoke to was a pleasure to deal with.
Am I worried about my details getting out - not really
Thanks guys, it is a thing. Honestly want to do the right thing just didn't know who to trust. I'll register it. Hopefully the bill or law gets thrown out in a year or two over revision. Merry Christmas
Yes it is a thing. There are people that don’t have to yet and those that do have to. There are also some that may or may not have to depending on who you ask.
If you bought a firearm / moved house/ renewed your license / sold a firearm, in the last few months then you are in the second group. Seeing or hearing others mention they don’t have to, doesn’t mean you don’t have to.
Assuming you must have purchased the firearms privately, given you have said this occurred over the last couple of months, otherwise you would have been subject to a number of reminder emails, certainly by the time you had stepped out the door if through a retailer.

Didn't they say they had missed calls or somesuch from FSA?

Not really relevant to thread IMO?
Also who decides what or who fits the criteria of a SovCit? Do you believe anything that these people at Guncontrol say eg "could happen like in the States" as if we are the same country?
I think that this article is a big pile of nothing with an incredibly obvious agenda and in the words of Christopher Hitchens - "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"
I see a stack of evidence as high as three quarters of a gnat's cock so will move along and get on with my day
