Plus one was never part of the mag capacity count otherwise a shit load of us holding old 10 shot tube 22s would be breaking the law.
Likewise every 10 shot 303 would now be illegal as well.
It was clarified during the gun grab.

Because if there is a penalty then people aren't going to buy unregistered guns which will create a secondary market for all of the "gey" guns and if there isn't a penalty then some people won't register all of their firearms because they will be able to "bring them in" later

People respond to incentives whatever the morals of the situation may seem
Sorry was being humorous about the concept of a Grey gun. They are all evil apparently haha

Hi, no first hand experience yet but they say:

    To use MyFirearms:
You only need a RealMe login.
You do not need a RealMe verified identity.

    It is not a business.
That would make it a SOE and if it's anything like Solid Energy that will be a bigger debacle than I could imagine
Calling it a business unit is what you do when you want something to operate under it's own profit and loss balance sheet. So yeah, it shows there is likely a mindset of making it 'user pays'.

Now wouldn't that be ironic, making law abiding LFOs pay... but doing traffic control for gang funerals for free.

    Only Ruger American.
Asked that they add this option.
Bit surprised as there are heaps of these floating around.

I can see many will have issues selecting the correct version of their firearm, this may cause issues when the firearm is moved on and then it’s recorded as something different.
Eg Ruger 10/22, there are so many versions, plus the version can be changed with minimal changes such as changing the stock.

Question - You have to select from a a LIST of firearm make/models ???? Surely not - I have more than a few shotguns of bastard parentage - and how does a homebuilt .22 fit in? I thought it would be "free format"

    Or have I misunderstood

If you watch the Firearms Safety Authority video, it explains that.

You can write whatever you want. It just has heaps of options that can auto complete for you to make it both easier to use and likely easier on their end for entering data etc.

Just done mine, had to phone to ask as my single shot Rossi has no model name anywhere on it. Was quick and painless.

Didn't want to have to do it yet but having just moved and being at home on a wet day decided to get it done.
