You seem quite worked up about this. Are you worried you might get flagged for something?
How many people have accidents due to underlying medical problems that went undetected during there medical assessments, probably to many to count, you obviously have very little knowledge of mental illnesses, how many sessions with a shrink do you suggest ? Have you tried it yourself ?

I know one who couldn't be detected... by the very organisation that he worked for... you know the ones actually responsible for determining fit and proper?

How many times have shrinks released people saying they are safe, not suicidal... these are regular news events.

The ability to predict future competance is almost non-existant. This isn't a medical physical examination or a skills test.

    Mental Health Foundation Stats:

In the 2012/13 New Zealand Health Survey, one in six New Zealand adults (16%, or an estimated 582,000 adults) had been diagnosed with a common mental disorder at some time in their lives (including depression, bipolar disorder and/or anxiety disorder).

There is no way to predict a pre-disposition to mental illness in the general population.

Its no different to predicting who might break their wrist. You can't simply say the clumsy and accident prone are the most likely to.
