It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

If the firearm safe keys are a prob, where do you stash your spare cash, passports, watches, jewelry etc? Where do you keep those keys.

Get yourself a small safe - one of those pin accessed ones, battery powered, that can also be accessed by a key (in the event said battery runs out)

I've got several one each for powder and primers, bolts and ammo - they are brilliant. when we went away I locked my safe keys and the spares in the powder safe, and took the key to said powder safe with me on my key ring.

Ok, so where do people store them ? Locked cupboard ?

I'm not about to just leave them on the shelf , for obvious reasons.

Don't stick it under the base of a drawer as often in a burglary they get pulled out and tipped upside down.
I was cleaning out the kitchen drawers one day and found $120 under the utensil tray. Forgot I had put it there years before.
In a burglary, the crims don't have a lot of time. Put it somewhere that you have to go to an effort to retrieve. Tape it to the back of the oven or bury it in the garden that no one goes near

Yep good idea, Dont put my BP in the safe but other ammo I do, its gonna be a serious fire by the time that goes BOOM, might be just right, clear the section so I can start building again. I store my boat petrol in the shed as well so fuck what else can I say. DONT BE A FIREMAN! or if you are ask questions

I often blutack keys to the top of the inside of a set of drawers, so even if the drawer is pulled out it's still stuck there out of sight.

Does the house you live in have a sub floor or roof space? You could peel the carpet back in a wardrobe or something like and cut a hole through the flooring and make a lid, then you would have an under floor stash and then replace the carpet back over it.. There's one in the house I live in now and unless Mr burglar wants to steal the carpet in you wardrobe first I doubt anyone would find that...

The real problem is no matter where you choose to hide it, (the key or anything else for that matter), when you need it (usually in a hurry) you will never remember where you put it.

All great hiding ideas, any would-be burglar savvy enough to peruse this forum has some handy tips on where to look! Just hide the keys somewhere that isn't obvious and where you'll remember them.
