It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

When the alarm at my work has gone off its sends a msg to the owner the security company and the police .

As I understand it the security company are not allowed to enter without the police being in attendance.

I've done 2 alarm activation's today. I always enter the building on any activation as I can then check for Spiders, vermin. smoke etc. I only use the police when there is an obvious forced entry, and then I use them to avoid a possible crime scene contamination by me. The nearest police are 20-25mins away as well as NZFS. There is a very high rate of false alarm activation's, but like most Security Companies, all activations and guard safety are taken seriously.

That is the country for you Spook. Power is always playing up. Good of you to be so safety conscious as to give warning

This sounds very similar to me when I used to do alarm activations, home detentions, noise control, panic activations, etc .. each had its own expected response times,I always was able to obtain access and alarm codes and keys for premises via coms and carried roughly 7000 keys in a lock-up in the boot of my patrol car...
As GA said police only get involved (if you get them to attend)when forced access or crime being commited ...or I used them as escorts when doing violent home detention checks and confiscating peoples sound systems etc, they become very valuable tools

p.s 9/10 times its a bloody spidey hanging over a P.I.R causing the alarms to activate .... or dem pesky night cleaners lol
