I think this is the point; applying all your focus on one thing will distract most people from the big picture. "Can't see the forest through the trees" so to speak.
Hence the original post I think, not expecting to see what's right in front of you because you are expecting(even when it's suggested by others) something else. I didn't believe the end of the video the first time I saw it, and wanted a copy as I always thought I took in what was happening around me. Of course, once you know about it, it's not possible to get caught out again.........at least in this case.
Now apply this same logic to someone so focused on find a stag in the bush.................................. shit can go wrong.
