I'll measure the end of the barrel diameter when I get back at the end of the week. A bit of looking online and it appears it may be a factory 21" "Turkey Barrel". The rib looks original as does the bead sight, I don't think it's been chopped.

is it 2 3/4 inch 0r 3inch chambered?
it looks modernish but could be if not a tightly choked turkey gun.
then a 21 inch deer gun which had like cylinder chokes I think.
they also sold them as combos with a 21 inch open as choke and say a 28 inch either multi or half/full fixed choke.
they are a class above the express in looks and useability.
methinks the vent rib dates it to reasonably modernish.

Remington did make a 21'' barrel smooth bore without sights and vent rib: it was for rifled slugs.
