    A little WTF moment

A mate at work mentioned seeing these for sale
    https://www.guncity.com/fiocchi-12ga...-rounds-243900

I cant think of a legit use for them in NZ, so guess I am missing something ?

very expensive and how about residue in barrel - no cant think of a use - well maybe one - a station I worked on we had out the back one particularly nasty stallion - we used to take stock whips out occasionally and give the ugly bugger a bit of a tong up to teach him to keep his distance - couple of those up his but would have been good -must be an american idea they can get away with firing at burglars- us well discharge on of those at someone sneaking around and end of FAL- prison possibly - certainly confiscation of firearms end of hunting etc

You don't need to identify a legitimate use for something to sell it it New Zealand. The law doesn't prohibit it = you can sell it.

it would be interesting though to hear from the seller in this case what they tell customers the intended use of these is

    AMMUNITIONSHOTGUN12GA
Fiocchi 12ga Rubber Buck 8.7g 70mm Law Enforcement *10 Rounds
    1 / 1
    From:
    $59.99 .
    Please choose an option

The Fiocchi Law Enforcement 12 Gauge 00 Rubber Buck features 15 rubber pellet shotgun shells. Each 00 Rubber Buck shell has a muzzle velocity of 720 fps. When designing the line of ammunition intended for smooth barrel, Fiocchi took in consideration tactics and training needs of Police Forces and Special Corps

now how many fit that catergory ??? so whats the purpose of them on an open market

It's obviously for using when you wants to put a lot of 1 to 2mm penetrations in a pine board from 10m away

Well, I suppose if you woke to the sound of an intruder in your house then these might be a better option while you await the prompt arrival of the police.....

Still, by the time the ammo locker is opened and the gun cabinet is opened and these are loaded then it might be faster to just admit defeat and stab yourself and save the robber the trouble.

Imagine a house in south auckland getting shot up with it. Some of it will bounce back and hit you while the rest of it will be boucing around inside the house

Id imagine in a house situation, if a shot was fired it would most likely be at a lethal range even for these.

Bought a packet of similar stuff about 25 yrs ago from sportsways. Took a couple pheasant shooting during the season....My Gordon setter went on 'set' in a swamp and I could just see the top of a pukeko's head 5 metres in front of the dogs nose.....told the dog to stay while I swapped out the #5's for rubber buckshot then released the dog..First shot at about 15m dropped the Puk .........it hit the ground, then got up again.....second shot dropped it and the same thing happened.......my gordon looked at me in disgust as the Puk flew away wallowing away like a shotup WWII bomber.......

Might potentially be useful for getting rid of pigeons/starlings in a shed without putting holes all through the tin.
