    Heard of one of the local coppers going to Suid Afrika for a trip back in the early 90s. While he was there he thought bugger it, I'll go and see the local rozzers for a chat.
    Got on great and even got envied for a drive around. Wasn't used to seeing a pump shotgun clipped ro the dash. Something also tells me they gave him a pistol and hold him to shoot anyone coming to car. Basically the locals wouldn't approach a cop car without bad intent.
    Back on story there was a box of batteries in the back seat which the SA police said they would drop 1 or 2 down the barrel of the Shottie. Made a huge mess that the coroner couldn't understand. They thought it was hilarious.
    Some info suggests they were taser batteries or such. There were a nice fit for the shotgun barrel

    i bought a box of that from Isco sports in welly in the 80s still got them somewhere
