I'm not sure but apparently they have much more recoil.

I'm probably late to the party, but if you wanna burn up that cupless shot, these Proshot Tornado brushes strip leading out fast and and last ages.

ok so now you know why...buy a turkshead cleaning brush....and no I DONT GIVE A SHIT IF THATS UN PC its what they called...the wireloops out and around to form a spiral pattern than scraped inside of barrel with flat of wire..... used to be a common thing ,maybe hangover from black powder days, they work very well and very fast to remove crap from barrel....

Sounds like that's what those pro-shot things are - mine have the loops scraping, rather than bristles. They're great for leaded up rifles too.

yip...very similar...yours will be new version...Ive got one with steel wire just like it and another where the bristles are thinner like a wire brush and twirl around but dont go back to centre...they sure work well.

I used some fibre wad eley at a simulated field shoot over the weekend, its definitely snappier in recoil, sounds quite different and produces a haze of fluff compared to plastic wad ammunition. 100 target course of fire so i used 125 rounds. There was a bit of leading but way less than the op had so the shot may have been harder.
Fibre wad seems to be coming back as people are becoming concerned about plastic in the environment so i suspect we will see more of it. I have no problem with lead shot in direct contact with the bore but hate to think what steel or worse that tungsten shot will do the a barrel without a plastic jacket.
