Not at all, looks like one, acts like one, must be one - except for no documentation so can't be one

As a pro trainer it takes much less time to train a dog and the results are consistent with the use of the new E-collars. No, you don’t have to have an E-collar to train a dog. I have talked with many people about this. One in particular, a medical doctor said, “I would rather do things the old fashioned way.” I can only say that I hope he doesn’t practice medicine the old fashioned way. There are many misconceptions about the use of the E-collar

These are not my words, but they are 100% correct. If I look at Mr Milner and his gun, he seems to like it the old fashioned way. Not to downgrade him in any way, how much of an expert is he. How succesfull has he been in the past compared to other trainers? There is an English saying : Those who can do, those who can't preach and those who can't preach write.

I have been training for about 12/14 years without e-collar and about 7 with an e-collar. The succes ratio didn't get better or worse, but the modern training method's certainly are a lot more dog friendly.

Hmmm. Interesting, HOWEVER I call bullshit. Even the dogs themselves understand the pack leader. EVERY pack has one, and it doesn't get to be leader for no reason. They tell each other off, and it often isn't just with a growl or a bark.

Where did the myth that dogs only growl or snap at each other come from, and not dish out a hiding?? Big myth that one! They in fact will deal to another dog if it fucks up and they are high enough in the order to give it whato.
Yes they might just growl or snap, bit if they think it's warranted they will put out a serious hiding. In fact I'm surprised myself at times what they will do. Because of this I work on the same theory myself with them.
