    Been rereading William McClure's birddog book again...

    for the want of something to read I guess...in one chapter he writes of the old days when gamebird numbers were great and when "your whistle was a musical instrument"...really like that.

    EeeBees it's the only musical part of my body, I whistle all day everyday, cause I can't bloody well sing or play the guitar, one of the things I have missed out in life, god didn't issue me a musical bone!

    Much to my frustration, Maca, I was not issued with any musical ability either; I cannot even figure out a Jew's Harp!! Yes, I whistle too...my grandmother used to admonish me by saying "a whistling woman and a crowing hen, is neither use to rooster nor men"...

    I've got both my grand daughters whistling 3 and 4 yrs old. Love to whistle some of Dire Straits guitar riffs they give you a work out!

    I stand corrected by the mater, Maca, it is "neither God nor men"!! Excellent having your granddaughters whistle...I perservered to imitate bird calls...Dire Straits, brilliant...
