Quite frankly I do not care for little dogs...I know they are and were invaluable in rabbiting teams, and how many possums/rabbits, and the diverse murids and muscalids the Jack Russels, Russel Jacks, Fox thingies, Aussies terrors and so on must have accounted for over the decades is beyond the realms of reasonable guess...

So more importantly is this dog real? Mum is keen for a little dog like that and I still belive its going to be an effective chick magnet

WHAT? none of your dogs come past the top of my gummies

My first hunting dog experiences were two foxies, a bayonet and a machete, and a childhood or rabbits and possums Almost tempted to go back to those glory days with a Jagd terrier

VC, labs, you should be fully aware, are not chick magnets, ... they are food magnets/furry vacuum cleaners.

Dear Toby, if a chick finds a dog a magnet to the man then forget her...she is not going to pick up the dog vomit and poos, she is not going to feed it (unless under a promisory note of money, dinner, wine, new handbag, jewellery)...she just thinks its cute...until it pees on the coat she left in the hall...thats where the man comes in, or out, rather!!!

PS...you dont need a yappy little dog to magnetise the females, Toby...use your godgiven talents of charm, witty repartee, and gentlemanly guile...

Be buggered EB, even my cook has a soft spot for some of them. Even talked about keeping her that retired herself.
As for the little yappers, if you could get their energy into the big dogs. Well ok, into a lab you'd have a hell of a dog.

Toby, cute is real good BUT you have a time frame to work to with it. After that you are only targeting specialized females.

Toby have you looked at spoodles for your mum? My mum has three of them, and as long as you get them from a good breeder they are great little dogs, and the ladies love them!

This is one of mums, great lil dogs, easy to train, this one will retrieve anything from anywhere catches rabbits all the time too. weighs about 10kg so not a tiny dog but still small enough.
