With Christmas upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my friends about drinking and driving.

As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" with friends.

Well two days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had more than several beers followed by a couple of bottles of some rather nice red wine. Although feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit.

That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a taxi.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police roadblock but since it was a taxi they waved it past and I arrived home safely without incident.

This was a real surprise, as I had never driven a taxi before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it. So if you want to borrow it give me a call.

No you will have had plenty of warning. You have just ignored the signs.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Right. A lesson learnt here guys. Never, under any circumstances, leave your computer logged onto a forum such as this and then go for a call of nature, thus leaving the good wife (yeah right) free to post shit.

I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable festive season. Look out for yourself and your mates. Fasten your seatbelt, wear your life jacket.

Let's also spare a thought for the men and women of our armed forces on operations overseas.

    Cheers.
