    My GSP bitch lost condition

My Bitch (!0)has struggled to keep weight on , have changed he diet from regular dog food to mighty mix ( which she's always done well on }. My Dog is looking well fed almost too well . And No he's not eating hers . Ive checked her tummy and it feels normal . She got wormed 3 mths ago , so is due but id be surprised if its worms (but won't rule out ) . Im taking her to the vet Wednesday , has anyone got any Ideas as to ask/tell vet etc ?

Munsey, As much as I don't like taking the pooches to the Vet, it would be a good place to start for a general check.

We have been all over the place with the food thing, and dog food is gold plated stuff. We go thru 2 big bags a month as its all the dogs get

Have you tried one of the premium foods
Currently we are using this, its an American company but made here in NZ apparently

get it from pet.co.nz and is delivered too your door free. Is considerably cheaper than the eukenuba we were using and our dogs are doing much better on the grain free stuff.
You can even save extra if you have a re-occuring automatic order
My bitch has bad skin allergies but these have cleared up completely since changing food. Could be a coincidence , or not

we are feeding the "chunky" roll from wrightsons.... $7ish a roll but even with 2 dogs one lasts 5 days as they don't need much of it.

If it's pretty sudden weight loss in a dog that age that lost the weight prior to a diet change I'd get her to a vet quick. Good luck hope she's ok

If we are playing a guessing game, does she drink heaps? (More than usual) If yes then kidneys.
Go get her checked out mate.

Yep to the vets for a full check up, mighty mix does a good job keeping a dog in condition but won't put on weight

And here's me feeding trim from the butchers and all 20 odd dogs do fine on it, a bag of biscuits every once in a while. Cost? A box of beer every few months.

Old dog make the call once you've been to the vet. But remember OLD DOG....

A mate has a GSP. the dog has some dietary condition that required a vet. It's. It uncommon. I can't recall the name but eating and not gaining condition was the start.
