It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

@el borracho results from ARGSP trials ??
Sunday 9th March saw 2 champ trials run by the Auckland Regions GSP club at Kaipara with a reasonable turn out of 8-10 dogs .
The Kaipara grounds are what I would call pleasant with heavy dry and very hard cow pucking underfoot and one must take great caution when walking .
The first course was of good length and a nice lower cover situation which enabled good viewing for the handler .
Mac McArthur once again was on hand to judge the first event which Inti took a second place in with a very average run showing all of his ten years in the very warm day -still he got to the end with two live birds and one dead found and or retrieved to hand . Failte on the other hand just ran like a cut cat and also showed her youth but after a good find and point had to be lifted as her retrieving skills are not yet honed .Dave Sheely's Billy a 5 year old Irish Setter took the day with a commanding performance of good dog work .
The second course saw Dave Richards from the South Island come to Auckland again to judge the second event . Daves course was in a paddock with very long cover and again terrible under foot .This course was noticeably shorter than the first and on Inti's forst cast of about 20 ft he had bird scent from a perfect nose wind at hand that quick . I roaded Inti until the first point and shot once he had located and the bird was released .The dead was located and delived to hand which I dropped on delivery and retrieved myself --ooohh what a mistake that was .Second bird good find -shot -sit dog and all over --literally as the pick up to hand of the dead disqualified me -things you do while not thinking ! Dave Sheely once again took this one out with his Billy having a consistent day of solid work . I hope someone else can add to this as I didnt see the other dogs running on the course or film others for that matter .Anyway here is a clip of the day with my two ..enjoy .... excuse spelling errors as I did this late and have seen some hahaha

that young bitch of yours is going to be a future star.
spent some time with maya on Saturday good to see the results with a 3rd, she will only get better.
Thanks Kawhia , she runs like a little demon for sure and has so far pointed well also but no retrieve as yet .A little more time to iron out some kinks and yes we should have a very competitive little bitch to challenge the red army. It would be great to see some more people taking footage and posting of their dogs running also .Its a little hard trying to take photos and movie of other people when competing also as much as I would like to --more the better !!!!!

Great to see a video of dogs running!
I really hate clips of dogs just roading and pointing.
Apologies but a correction to the scores on this video --Kevin 3rd place and Helen 4th place

El B,
Is one of those dogs your Gortinreagh dog. Gerald made up another, Excel, on Saturday. Best I could do was third but at least that's me qualified for opens now.
Des.
Hi Des , yes the first little bitch is one of Geralds "Gortinreagh Failte .She has an wonderful nature and easy to handle with lots of natrual ability which makes life easy --only the retrieve needs to be perfected which the UK is not required obviously .Man she runs like the wind when she goes and makes my older dog look OLD lol
