Thread: What a week!

Three Championship trials were held in the North Island on live game for spaniels this week...

Day One: Monday the trial was won by FCH Strathmore Maggie (Her second win giving her her title.) Maggie is brick's Daughter. There were five dogs (From a field of 20) in the run off, Brick's son, Brick's daughter and Brick's Grandson. Maggie won it, The son was third and grandson fourth.

Trial Two was won by his Grandson with Maggie second and his son third.
I don't know the other placings yet but yesterday's event at Rathmoy was won by Bracken, his son making him only the fourth spaniel GFCH in New Zealand. The third was his son, Brick's grandson.

The old boy's legacy will be with us for some time yet I believe, I have always been proud of that old dog as you know, but to see the influence he has had become so prfound in the public justfies for me, a lot of the crap we had to take over the years. Good on you Brick, Bracken, Maggie, Tussock, Jamie and Steve for the parts you all play in this wonderful result..

They say what separates a good dog from a great dog is not what he does, but what he produces... I'm glad you guys recognize a good sire and are capitalizing on his progeny!
