Just came to me today - the boy has had a bit of a pink mounth/nose area lately, shiny skin around there too. Similar to a burn I reckoned. I've been giving him quite a bit more frozen stuff than normal lately as I have been busy and haven't been able to entertain him with our normal amount of training each day.
I think I've figured out the problem - freezer burn! So I guess keep that in mind when feeding frozen dinners. Note he is not tender in this area at all, just been drinking a little more water than normal, no unsual licking or scratching at the area.

Mine get tux or Pams "chase" in between lots of frozen Venison bones/meat and Goat bones/meat. Oddly they wont eat pork at all unless its been cooked and I'm not a fan of feeding them any cooked meat.
Venison keeps em lean and biscuits make em fat so it balances out.
Venison gives them a beautiful shiny coat, Lots of raw Venison (the night its butchered) gives them the foulest farts ever
That reminds me better feed em!
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
