    just realised..my avitar photo was his FIRST day of retrieving at 8 mths old...the 2 canadas were first..both only needed draggin 3-4mtrs but it saved me a swim...

    Last time I remember having fertiliser dust in the eyes was when we had to put our wee Jack Russel bitch down about 10 years ago

    Lots of us know how you feel MD - had the same thing happen to me in April. It sucks - sadly we cant have the good times without the bad. Sorry for your loss

    Feel for ya Mickey, a lot of us have had to take that journey / make that decision for our buddy. Its a very sad fact that dogs wear out faster than we do and if you chanced on a goody its even harder.

    Great tribute MD, I've had a few dogs pass on over the years & personally its the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with so far they are just such great mates. I feel your pain, reading the posts has brought some great memories back for me. I appreciate your post.

    @Micky Duck. Tough time for you and family mate. I know only too well how you will be feeling. You both had a great partnership there and I'de bet you both learned from each other over the years. The legacy your dog has left you is for your next close mate and so in that respect, will remain close always. Sympathies to you and yours.
