Take the miracle drug Dougie. 1000mg of vitamin C every day of your life. I have done that for decades and haven't been sick in 25+ years. Haven't needed to go to a doctor in that time either. I find doctors surgeries a good place to avoid as they always have bloody sick people there.

Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
Not a preventative but a good drug for me to manage the constant colds was a children's medication in Canada. My sweet old Granny used to send me a bulk lot of about 1kg twice a year or so. That was, until Mr Customs Officer and Mr Police Man came knocking on my door (this is a few years back) warning me about the new ammendments to the Misuse of Drugs Act coming up..... this kid's med was mostly pseudo!
So no more miracle drug for Dougie.
