I got my last dog Rocky the Huntaway for free but like almost all of my dogs so far, I spent close to 10K on either surgery ( 2 cruciate ligiments for my last Rottie bitch. They usually do the other leg 6 months to a year after the fist one) or Diabetes treatment and intensive care for the Huntaway ( a breed I thought should be near bulletproof as a "NZ" breed.
I'm just lucky I could afford to spend it

You know....must have a high-fenced property of outside lawn for the dog to run around...must own the property and not rent it....must have a person at home most of the day....prefer a young family etc....jezz it's like adopting a human baby.
They did a site inspection for fencing and the like for the last one, can't remember much else.

    Rant over........ for now

Here's the little dachshund you need for the wife @Bill999....and only $5500
(imagine how many sausages that amount of money could buy...)

A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.

i own a boarding kennel. The more expensive/pure breed the dog, the more meds they come with and often less of a brain.A lot of the meds are the same as for humans but because from a vet[not Pharmac subsidized]add a zero to the price.Because of pet insurance the price of vet care is only going to sky rocket.
I am not knocking pure breeds or vets just making an observation. In fact one of my favourite guests is a miniature chihuahua named Elvis, hes got the best strut I have seen and is completely unaware hes the size a rat.

They already sold it Apparently, there was a buyer for that kind of money. Or maybe the ad has been archived.
