Thread: Rip Claude aka van damme aka f$&"4$:"/

He's been gone a couple of weeks now but only just putting the post up. A while back a lump on his eye had me thinking it was a simple infection, it turned to a hard lump and a biopsy revealed it was cancer. The tumour grew back very aggressively and although he acted like he was fine his energy levels had dropped and I didn't want to drag him through the shit degradation that cancer brings so had to have him put to sleep. Then intention was to put him down on a final hunt but he had some odd behaviour in the days leading up so had to cancel that plan and put him down at home.
He came to me when he was 2, he was a rescue dog and clocked up a few awesome achievements in his time, finding and catching animals, dragging down wounded animals, chased away some wannabe burglars when I loaned him to my mum when she was living alone, had my back on a couple of occasions and was just a general bloody good mate. One of those dogs that would blow you away with awesome performance one day, then blow you away with how he could misbehave the next day but you couldn't help but smile as you yelled and swore and vowed that you were going to shooting him when he was in range.
