While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
runfree big fella where theres no pain ,no painss in the arse(owners).youve left behind some broken hearts but a treasury of memories.
PS if you run across a big bastard named JJ up there give him my regards and tell him he still owes me a mallard.
heres to memories of the good times DS cause from what im seeing that bloke had a ton.
My thoughts are with you and your family ... you took him and gave him a life that you both cherished ...
...amitie, respect mutuel et amour...
...le beau et le bon, cela rime avec Breton!...
Thanks for all the messages guys, there are a lot of dog owners out there that can relate, and knowing dog owners, their dog was always the best so each of us are selfish in our grief , time to put time into making the younger one the new best dog in the world
I was saying to a mate just the other day that there are parts of your soul - that only a dog as your best mate can fill....
I know your feeling low but remember the good times and the special life you've given Claude. But also be content in the release you've also granted him with all your heart - putting aside any thoughts of selfishness and finding selfless-ness
It's what a mate would do....
PS: You're right about the Vet thing.
Condolences

your vet isnt the only one with tears in his eyes Mate....we too lost our four legged mate to that horrid big C....... take the time to sit back and think of the big boof head when you reach a spot on the trail that means something to you both.
yep getting back on the horse is the way and I certainly know the hero to zero tag my elvis was the poster boy.
a five hundred yard retrieve one minute and a bolt on the shot the next minute almost taking the bloody door of the maimai.
the only reason I haven't done it is cos the right dog aint come along yet.
but I know it will and even tho ive lost two in the last few years I,l go again.
cos waterfowling and upland hunting is just not the same [more like just fuckin about ]without a dog to share it with.
