Gidday Tahr - my condolences. You (and Tilly) are both richer (in spirit) for having shared so much together . . . .

Sorry to hear Tahr. Bury her in a place she loved and visit her frequently
There are no words for this, only time will lessen the hurt. People around you start dropping off, you shrug your shoulders and accept the inevitable nature of things, but your dog is different, it hurts and there is no way past it. Lots of us have walked that walk, so we know how it feels. Sorry for the loss mate.
Dogs are better than people.
@Tahr, condolences for the loss of Tilly. Unfortunately it's something we dog owners have to experience. RIP Tilly.
THE LAST BATTLE (aka If It Should Be) – Author Unknown
If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this last battle can’t be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don’t let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn’t want me to suffer so.
When the time comes,
Please, let me go.
Take me to where my needs they’ll tend,
Only, stay with me until the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree,
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don’t grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do
We’ve been so close – we two – these years,
Don’t let your heart hold any tears
Sad news Bruce, RIP Tilly. What a life you & Bruce have had aye, great adventures to be relived in memories from now on.
Condolences Bruce, be proud of the life you gave her and all the successes you shared together and with us all.
Sorry for your loss, It sucks when they lose their mobility. Lost an old lab a few years ago through that.
Oh man so gutted for you. Loved the stories you've shared of your adventures together. You gave her the best life a dog could hope for. RIP Tilly.

Sorry to hear this sad news.
Your Tilly lived her best good life and it's times like this you realise what our dogs mean to us.
4 pages in half a day, wow.
R.I.P Tilly.
She’s a forum legend in her own right, that dog. A good dog, a proper good dog.
Tilly lives on in all the stories and photos on here, and we’ll all miss her.
Chin up mate.
Just...say...the...word
Sad news indeed. Sounds like she was an amazing companion.
A Sad end. She actually looked pretty good only three months ago. At least I got to give her a pat and scratch under the chin. Takes a long time to get over loosing them and we never forget them ever
It's,always sad for those left behind Bruce but she would have hated seeing you getting ready to go hunting and she was being left behind.
Sorry mate. Heart breaking. Enjoy the memories. It hurts so much because they were so great to have around.
