Don't see any reason that you can't use it on a dog. Comes in a small aerosol can weighs next to nothing so can be packed in your emergency supply's easily.
dogs ears bleed like a bastard, my dogs always used to bleed after hunting through blackberry and gorse, it never seemed to bother them at all, just looked pretty messy after a hunt, you can powder them to make it scab up, but they will always rip the scab off if hunting again.
