Wirehunt does a whippet Terrier x Nice wee dogs, like a Russel type short coat and markingsd with longer legs and snout. He breeds them for rabbiting and they are fast as f, turn on sixpence, a heap of energy and trainable if you put a bit into it. They never stop so need something to do... I have trained mine to hold and point on rabbits so they can do it if you put the time into them.

Happy to offer my black boy up for studding duties for a reasonable fee, if that is of interest.
    Conditions will apply

My lot are cycling now, seven bitches at various stages of heat and Jack with the black nutsack is beside himself cause he ain't getting near them the dirty little prick. But there's a couple of bitches here that need to have a litter so maybe later in the year.

How far would he track a rabbit, 5 or 50 or 500 metres?

He's never been hunted yet, but I can tell you his drive to chase is very very strong, just don't have access to any rabbit properties currently with big enough open space to let him run without worrying about him bowling into fences etc, this can be a problem with whippets the drive to cach often blinds them to there surroundings.
Certainly no problem chasing cats the length of a rugby field away....don't ask how I know

    Whippet pups - 2021

Whippets have turned out to be far more difficult to get a hold of than what I would have thought, I've even tried the registered breeders route but no way am I paying 2k for a pup with a desexing contract.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
I have a recent litter of whippets, mother from hunting stock, and at least you're in the SI as I am... message me if you're still interested ?
