Sorry, I guess you all understood" threading in the fluting". I know somebody who would have feared for his good barrel today after reading that post this morning!:-)

Hi,
I had the opportunity to shoot this Howa in 6.5 Grendel over the weekend. I was really impressed by the accuracy of that pencil barrel with regular Hornady 123 eldm Black Ammo.
My sons mate came down for a hunt. He owns a Ruger 7/08. Used my sons T3 223 and banged over a nice stag @ 400m. Guess what he did when he got home. Down to the gun shop , traded his gun and is now plonking cash to get the same set up. Strangely he wants a Darren chop, Darren can, and Darren SS baffle at the muzzle. Quality never goes outta fashion.
Pretty confident decision based on one shot.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
No because it is backed up by lotsa dead deer by my son.
Hi,
This week is an Aero precision in 300 Blackout.
Hi,
This week we have a little Mohawk.
For your info about the Mohawk
Remington Model 600
No its mate, its a vent rib. The article Friwi posted explains. I didn’t realise that the original ones on the 600s were an early form of plastic and were completely useless. But @Friwi that shortened vent rib in the photo can’t be original can it, because the Remington dropped the vent rib on the Mohawks didn’t they? If its original but just shortened, then it can’t be a Mohawk?
There’s a very gc Remington 600 in a safe at a property I visit from time-to-time, looks like its hardly been used. It never comes out and there’s no ammo for it. It has a steel vent rib. Haven’t really given it a second tought until I read the article. Couldn’t remember what its chambered in but thought hmmm and rang the bloke and the reason its never used is its a .350 Rem Mag. That explains the lack of ammo. Apparently its mid 60s. Kicks like an artillery cannon. Obviously not original as the vent rib is not plastic.
I’m thinking it might be worth something, despite it being impossible to feed and having savage recoil.
