A few recent LR rifle builds

Like alot of professional gunsmiths, i'm usually too busy trying to catch up on the work backlog, and never take enough photos of my work.

This summer has been a mission trying to get a few projects and custom rifle jobs sorted for my (patient) customers, after the usual long wait to get all parts, etc required.

Here are a few pics of 3 LR rifles just recently finished, all had True Flite barrels, and all shot outstandingly well with just preliminary trial loads. As you can see they also all carry my Megamax muzzlebrakes, the #1 choice for recoil reduction with larger profiled barrels. 'Minimum added length, maximum recoil reduction and muzzle-rise cancel' - just like the ad says!!

With standard earmuffs or plugs these brakes make the bigger calibres a dream to shoot. The retained accuracy with my brake designs has also been confirmed on the test targets.

    Rifles are:

    1. Rem 700 trued and double-sleeved bolt, Wyatt DM kit, .300 Rem Ultra-mag custom.

    2. Barnard Model P in .300 WSM.

    3. Barnard Model PT in .338 Edge.

    Enjoy!

    Dean.

I can see the family resemblance between them. They have all got big noses.

LOL ! Yeah, but when you're rapidly exhaling 90+ grains if ADI powder then having a big nose is a definite advantage!!

Just check out the schnozz on any high performance athlete.......

Rifle with brake fitted was about 15lbs approx. (without scope or mounts fitted yet). That rig also was set-up for a muzzle-can silencer as well, so the guy had that option too.

Mainly for LR target shooting, so he wanted it as heavy as possible. McMillan A5 stock had 'sniper fill' throughout, as well as adjustable buttstock, spacer system, and adjustable cheek-piece system.

Those Barnard actions look great - elegant simplicity.
