Thread: Accessibility/hireage of shooting ranges by organized clubs?

Chaps. Next year I am looking at formalising our shooting group into an incorporated society, and breaking away from the current club in Palm.Nth for numerous reasons which I won't go into there. This year I am scouting and putting the feelers out for ranges and locations we may be able to hire or use under agreement with the host club/owner.
I understand the organisations such as regional service rifle clubs have this arrangement with some NZDA ranges, such as wellington (kaitoke) and Rotorua for example.
The area I am looking at is everywhere south of Taihape, and north of wellington, including Wairarapa, hopefully with 90min drive of Palmerston North.
I know that soon we will have access to military ranges, including Linton, but we would not rely on this as a regular thing. (I know there is a rifle range at Cheltenham, but it appears to be a club run range primarily for F Class type shooting, with an organised regular schedule that doesn't leave room for hireage/loan to other clubs.)

So my question being, is anyone aware of any other rifle ranges (that have met their cert requirements and still open) in the lower north island?
(Or any suitable farmland that can be used as a 'one-off' activity once a year within the legal definition of such)
