If i could have a full time job shooting pests i'm up for over time.
Just a big shout out to the local volleys. I was shifting sheep when I saw black smoke rising from the neighbours place. Thought it may have just been a rubbish fire, but got my binos out to check. The shipping container was well engulfed, and wind was blowing towards house. Got phone out to ring when I heard the hooter go off. Comfirmed it had been called in and waited. The volleys were the first there, followed a couple of minutes later by the paid fireys. Fire contained to the container only. Good stuff guys

Any keen fire personal about Keen on a hunt around kaikoura
Interesting. Most training courses I've done over last couple of years we've been been given or told about claim forms to complete for any expenses. So far I don't think anyone has filled them in!
Wondering how much higher the payments would be if they didn't faff about replacing overalls with the new 'temporary' separate pants & tops.
Liking some of the other new gear being dished out though. Got an awesome new portable pump. Electric start & sweet delivery to a couple of forestery or 70mm. So much better than pull starting the old two stroke!
Sincere condolences and thoughts to the families and friends of the four firefighters lost in a tragic accident today
RIP gentlemen. You won’t be forgotten
