First shipment arrived today. We were expecting 12 this month, but only received 3, due to 'heavy worldwide demand'

I'm taking the Apex XD38 and XD50 out in the morning to do some comparative video, then will be holding on to a XD38 for few days, so I can 'evaluate' it against the already heavily depleted Waimea rabbit population, courtesy of a very patient and understanding customer.

If you are keen on one, there is a bit of a wait (understatement), but, now that they are in production, we expect good numbers within a couple of months. Ours are made in UK, though the Lithuanian factory has been producing since beginning of December.

They are a lot smaller than I was expecting, and have an extremely crisp image thanks to the high definition 50Hz refresh rate, and A-Si UFPA.

    Watch this space.......

The HD19s is still my first choice for night hunting. I like to walk along whilst looking through it. Great field of view, and smooth because of the 30Hz definition. It's 1x magnification makes avoiding trip hazards easy, and animals appear as if by magic! Im quite a fan of the HD19s.

I was talking to one of our customers who had been speaking with a Flir dealer (wouldn't tell me who, but I suspect GC), who describe their TS32 as the equivalent of our HD19s. They must be dreaming, because when we compared them side by side, the HD19s pissed all over the TS32.

Used the XD38 on the weekend, pretty awesome bit of kit, great for scanning flattish swampy/bull rush paddocks. Picked of 3 pigs and a deer that we wouldnt of got without the thermal. Very hard to judge distance tho especially at night, ended up walking to about 20m of the pigs... They were a bit smaller than expected once on the ground

Its also interesting what you see from the main road going through Arthurs pass over to the coast....

I'm glad you are having some fun with your new Pulsar thermal.

Were you spotting them in daylight or at night?

I may be keen on a set. Let me know when you have some in.
Had a squizz thru the ones Cam had. Once I wiped off all the fish scales and BBQ grease, they worked and looked good
