Question Do I Need a Police Order Form to Buy 22LR Lead Ammo?

    Hi guys,

If I want to buy ammo, do I need to complete the police order form?

Here’s the ammo I’m looking to buy:
    https://www.guncity.com/cci-22lr-sta...1070fps-159873

GunCity website says Police Order Form is required.

    Would appreciate any guidance.

    Cheers!

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

The mail order form is required IF you are not picking it up in person. I see you are in Tamaki Makaurau and GC has a branch in Penrose and North shore. If you buy it over the counter, they see your license and no form is needed.

Tamaki Makaurau...that sounds like it's a far and away country. Might need an import permit too.

as others have said, if it is to be couriered to you, you need to fill it in and submit to the police
it allows police to confirm you have your firearm license on behalf of gun city as gun city can't check your license remotely

if you go into the shop, they will check your license and sell you the ammo if you're in Auckland there are 2-gun city shops to choose from and a few other shops Aswell, so mail ordering ammo is a hassle that's just not required
